This week the Department of Education enabled a host of new features that will enhance the way students engage with technology at school and at home.
Previously, if a student worked on a school computer and then wanted to find that awesome website at home, they would have to start the search process from scratch. Now students are able to sign in to Google Chrome with their student login (firstname.lastname@example.org) to have all their favourite bookmarks, web applications, extensions and their browsing history available on any computer or mobile device.
Along with Google Chrome Sign-in and Sync, Google Sites, Google Keep, and a host of other powerful cloud utilities have been enabled through the Student Portal.
Through ongoing collaboration with Google, developing the resources available to be used with G Suite for Education, student's learning tools and utilities continue to grow to enable a better and more meaningful interaction with technology for learning! Make sure you're ready to learn with BYOD by visiting the SPECIFICATIONS page to have a device that is compatible with our school's infrastructure, and then visiting the CLOUD ESSENTIALS and GOOGLE CHROME pages of this site to get all the apps and extensions to make effective and efficient learners at school!
